Everyone has their moments though, even extremely angry Biotics. In fact her anger is probably what kept those moments at bay before, that kind of behavior typically is a defense mechanism. Shepard got through her defenses, but with him out she's vulnerable to her own fears and anxieties.
Note, this WILL hurt. I have a cybernetically strengthened skull, but even so I preferred to wear a helmet when doing it. You Biotics should throw up a barrier.
Also remember, if you don't rock him back, he will just laugh at you. He has to really feel it and know you did it. Biotics can perhaps cheat a little with a focused push.
